Here at PowerLed, we have taken our in-house expertise to establish the weak points of traditional PIR floodlights, and why they fail, and have designed a PIR floodlight that eradicates these shortcomings.
Bonded PIR
The FLEX-PIR is the first PIR floodlight with a true IP65 bonded PIR which has been rain checked for reliability and performance. This means it is protected against dust and low pressure jets of water from all directions, making it the ideal lighting solution for external applications as it is rain-proof and leak-proof.
Remote control
The FLEX-PIR has been designed with the user in mind. PowerLed’s FLEX-PIR differs from a conventional PIR floodlight as it is controlled by an infrared remote which can be used to adjust working mode, holding time, sensitivity and memory function. The remote doesn’t have to be paired and can be used with all FLEX-PIR models. Having a PIR floodlight be remote controlled in this way also removes any possible holes and joints for leakage, making PowerLed’s FLEX-PIR perfect for outdoor installations susceptible to rain, wind and UV rays.
Built-in PIR sensor
The FLEX-PIR also has a built-in PIR sensor providing up to 8 metres of detection with a 120° angle, minimising ‘false tripping’ and ‘false illumination’. Additionally, a dusk to dawn function can be easily selected via a button on the remote control to overwrite the PIR movement detection.
Thermal dynamics
The FLEX-PIR has been designed with a flush heat sink and a high surface area to allow for effective heat dissipation which delivers cooler running and an increase in reliability.
Stainless steel fixings and angled bracket
High quality stainless steel screws are combined with an angular bracket to make it easy to install and achieve the desired position angle. Additionally, the light is integrated inside the seal with outer screws to make it rain-proof and leak-proof. The FLEX-PIR is available in 20W, 30W, 50W and 70W.
